# Keyboard Shortcuts

Clavis provides keyboard shortcuts for efficient navigation and control. Shortcuts are disabled when typing in input fields.

## Playback

| Key             | Action                                                                               |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Space**       | Play/Pause normal trajectory animation; disabled for large/native streaming sessions |
| **Left Arrow**  | Previous frame                                                                       |
| **Right Arrow** | Next frame                                                                           |

## View Controls

| Key   | Action                                       |
| ----- | -------------------------------------------- |
| **C** | Toggle cage display                          |
| **H** | Toggle hydrogen bond display                 |
| **B** | Toggle periodic boundary condition (PBC) box |
| **X** | Toggle coordinate axes                       |
| **R** | Reset camera to default position             |

## Selection

| Key              | Action                                |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------- |
| **V**            | Switch to View mode (rotate/pan/zoom) |
| **S**            | Switch to Select mode (click atoms)   |
| **Ctrl/Cmd + A** | Select all atoms                      |
| **I**            | Invert selection                      |
| **Esc**          | Clear selection / Close modals        |
